The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the extension of the registration deadline for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2024 for undergraduate (UG) courses. Originally scheduled to conclude on March 26, the application process will now remain open until March 31 at 9:50 pm.

Interested applicants can access the detailed notification and apply for the exam through the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.

In an official notice, the NTA stated, “The candidates and concerned stakeholders are informed that registration of Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG)] – 2024 has been extended on request received from candidates and other stakeholders.”

The application edit window will also remain open on April 2 and 3, as per the latest official notice.

CUET UG 2024 Examination Details

The NTA has announced the examination date for CUET UG 2024. The exam is scheduled to be conducted from May 15 to May 31 and will take place in 380 cities, including 26 cities outside India.

During the application procedure, candidates are required to attach their formal passport-size photographs and scanned signature copies as per the specified file size and format.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Process

Applicants who have completed class 12 or are appearing for the exam this year are eligible to apply for CUET UG 2024.

To apply for the exam, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG.
  2. Select the CUET 2024 registration link on the homepage.
  3. Fill out the required information on the registration page.
  4. Complete the online form, pay the registration fee, and submit the form.
  5. Print a copy of the submitted form for your records.

The CUET UG 2024 score will be used by approximately 250 universities for admission to various first-year degree programs. According to the official notice, candidates have the option to choose from 33 languages and 27 subjects based on their preferences.

The exam will be conducted in hybrid mode and will consist of three shifts: 9 am to 11 am, 12:30 pm to 2 pm, and 4 pm to 5:30 pm.
